Sometimes I load a roll of expired 35mm film in my camera, throw it in my purse and literally never know when the impulse to shoot images will strike.
Last week I toted my Canon Elan7 and a roll of expired Kodak Ultramax 400 to work with me.
I had a blast flying with Jenny, we had a long Kona layover and I talked her into doing my new favorite thing on that layover….land, change clothes and walk from the hotel to Alii drive for happy hour. (6.3 miles)
It’s a blast, you sweat, you burn and see all sorts of things along the way! Never the same walk, twice.
So, yeah! The walk did not disappoint, tons of old cars passed us, we were surrounded by beautiful flowers and trees, crashing waves, so much ALOHA!
We worked back to Seattle on the “Russell Wilson plane” – haha, love it !
When I got home, Jasmine had an awesome event at school called “Night of the Notables”
She chose Wilma Rudolph – she made a riddle for the audience to guess who she was, and she was so cute doing so!
I had a few more frames to burn on the roll so I took it to my Tacoma studio space and shot a few self-timed portraits. (more like experiments, so fun)
Hey, don’t forget to just point + shoot !
