I often consider myself the most fortunate person, ever.
When I get called upon to document (with a photograph) the most important events in the lives of my family and friends, I could never ask for more…
My gorgeous cousin Jasmine announced that she had just gotten engaged to be married to Josh, and asked if I would shoot their engagement photos ?
I gasped, of course !
I am in love with love !
How they met is SO remarkable… in Jasmine’s words;
“My roommate / best friend Brooke took a trip to South Jordan, Utah for a friends’ wedding. While at the wedding she met one of her boyfriends’ friends… (Josh).
they all sat at a table together and the topic of girls came up, Josh had expressed concerns about having a horrible dating experience because he just couldn’t find the right girl…..
so, Brooke then asked what his perfect girl would be like ?
he stated that his dream girl “would be about 5’5″, have red hair, she must have freckles and be filipino.
Brooke was ASTONISHED! She immediately told him that he had to meet me!
she showed him a picture of me and she said his jaw dropped….and he insisted on setting up a date with me, she called me and I agreed.
he drove from South Jordan, Utah all the way to Rexburg, Idaho where I attended school to take me on a date. We had a great time from jamming to music in the car ride, to eating tasty treats & enjoying a wonderful concert by the Beach Boys with lots of fireworks! As you can imagine, we clicked from the very start and from that night became inseparable! We spent every minute talking to each other and visiting each other until he December when he decided to propose.”
Jasmine and Josh, I am so grateful to have been able to capture these beautiful photos of you, I look forward to being part of your journey together.
XO Dana
