Me and Bobby – 10 years and counting.

Well, this year was exciting – Bobby and I hit our 10 year wedding anniversary – wow! I wanted to document this time for us, and of course, for our children. I asked my talented friend @jamelyn.zenfolio.com to shoot a few nice images for us – she kindly accepted. As I was about to walk out the front door to leave for the shoot, I remembered something, I remembered that I still had the coat that Bobby gave me our first Christmas of dating. It still fits, it’s warm and cozy for a Fall day and now it has extra special meaning to me. It brings back floods of memories just looking at it. I remember the car I drove when I saw it, loved it and he went back to buy it. I remember the first time I wore it, to a Christmas get-together at a friends house in Huntington Beach . And it reminds me of a time in our lives that was so uncomplicated. It seems so long ago. But, most importantly, it tells me how far we’ve come. I couldn’t have possibly imagined that this fun-loving guy who gave me that coat could turn out to be the most caring, loving and compassionate father that the world will ever know. That he treats his family and friends with the best of love, and aloha. That he chooses to only see  the best in others, and no matter what, he wakes up everyday with a smile and happy attitude.  Yes, I have learned a great deal in my 10 years of marriage. I am a lucky girl.
