So, it was National Thrift Store Day on August 17th… YES!
I hit up my fave, Value Village.
And I swear I heard the angels singing!
There was not one, but TWO pristine, flawless, mint-conditioned Olympus Stylus Point and Shoot 35mm cameras staring at me on the electronics rack !
For the unreal price of just $3 each.
PINCH ME!
I snatched them off the rack so fast it was not even funny!
Ironically, I had just officially killed my beloved Olympus Stylus Epic camera…just days ago, combined with the fact that my Jasmine is something of an amazing photographer herself and needs her own, so, I needed TWO, and there they were !
Both cameras had a roll of film already in them, one with a roll of Fuji Superia 400
the other with a roll of Kodak Ultramax 400
I took the kids to our local Tacoma beach today and decided to just blast off the rolls to see if they even worked?
Walgreens’ drugs still scans 35mm rolls of film, perfect!
OMG OMG OMG!
They not only function, they make amazing little film images as you can see !
The Olympus Stylus is hands down my favorite little point and shoot!
C’mon friends, just POINT + SHOOT !
Aloha, Dana
